A former student of Yeshivat Yeruham with a BA at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem ("Amirim" honors program and the Talmud department), and an MA at the honors program of the Mandel School for Advanced Studies in the Humanities.
My research deals with the intersection of talmudic literature and medieval rabbinic literature: How did intellectual elites evolve in medieval European and how did European Jews approach the Jewish literature of antiquity and interpret it? What were their textual methods and how did they mediate this literature for modern scholars? My MA thesis focused on the talmudic textual criticism of Rabbi Solomon ben Adret of Barcelona (Rashba); my PhD Thesis will concentrate on the emergence of the medieval Italian Jewish scholarly corpus from late antiquity in Italy and the Byzantine empire, characterizing its literature and its designation as a distinct school with an unique approach to halakhah, minhag and Jewish ancient texts.
