An article by the late Prof. Ronnie Ellenblum has been published

An article by the late Prof. Ronnie Ellenblum together with Tal Ulus appeared in Nature. The work on the paper, entitled “How long and how strong must a climatic anomaly be in order to evoke a social transformation?” began during the tenure of the research groups “Archaeologies of Memory” (2010-2013) and “Materials for Change” (2016-2019) at Mandel Scholion.

A new book by the “Liturgy and Arts” research group (2015-2018)

We are pleased to announce the publication of a new book "Liturgy and Art as Constructors of Cultural Memory in the Middle Ages,". The book, currently available in Hebrew, examines how local and global memories were created in the Holy Land and Europe. It is the result of the work of the "Liturgy and Arts" research group that spent the years 2015-2018 at Mandel Scholion.

Dr. Michael Lukin was awarded the "Am Ve-Olam" prize commemorating the late Bella and Shlomo Bartal for his article: "The Traditional Yiddish Lullaby as an East-Ashkenazi Phenomenon" (Jerusalem Studies in Jewish Folklore, 2020-2021).

Dr. Iyas Nasser was awarded the "Ma'of" scholarship for young excellent scientists by the Planning and Budgeting Committee (VATAT).
