Ido is a Ph.D student in the Department of Hebrew Literature. He graduated from the Hebrew University with a B.A. in the Department of General and Comparative Literature and the "Amirim" program, and an M.A. in the Department of General and Comparative Literature, which he completed as a member of the Masters Honors Program at the Mandel Schoo. His thesis, written under the supervision of the late Prof. Aminadav Dykman and Prof. Giddon Ticotsky, dealt with the emergence of Nathan Alterman's late style and his renunciation of the muse in his play The Inn of Ghosts.
Ido is interested in intertextual and intercultural connections in modern Hebrew literature. His doctoral research, written under the supervision of Prof. Giddon Ticotsky, explores these connections in contemporary Hebrew literature, focusing on the reception of the Greco-Roman classics.
Alongside his studies, Ido teaches literature and is a poetry critic and translator.
