Nathan Wasserman (Jerusalem, 1962) is Professor of Assyriology at the Institute of Archaeology of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, specializing in the Old Babylonian period (ca. 1900–1500 BCE). His scientific interest is focused on Akkadian literature (hymns, epics, wisdom literature).

In 2016 his book on love and sex related Akkadian texts has appeared:

In 2019 appeared his book on the political history of the Old Babylonian period (with Dr. Yigal Bloch):

In the next year his monograph The Flood: The Akkadian Sources. A New Edition, Commentary, and a Literary Discussion : Peeters will be published.

Currently he is busy working on a monograph encompassing all the Old Babylonian and Old Assyrian incantations (with Dr. Elyze Zomer, Marburg, Germany)
