Omer Michaelis is a Mandel Postdoctoral Fellow at the Mandel Scholion Research Center. He holds a PhD in philosophy from Tel Aviv University (2019).

Specializes in medieval Jewish thought and philosophy in the Islamicate world, Omer focuses on the dynamics of production, transmission and integration of knowledge in medieval Judaism, and its intersection with parallel processes in the Islamic culture.

Over the years, his work has received support from Harvard Standing Committee on Medieval Studies, the Oxford Centre for Hebrew and Jewish Studies, Max-Planck-Institut für Wissenschaftsgeschichte and the Israeli Council for Higher Education.
